Como Swings was Perry Como's fifth RCA Victor 12" long-play album, released in 1959 and the third recorded in full "living" stereophonic sound.[2][3] The album's concept was one of swing standards from the Great American Songbook, set to loud, complex, booming arrangements which only the new high fidelity stereophonic vinyl records could properly reproduce. The album was, in part, recorded to showcase and test the limits of the new technology.
